I stole the spirit of gravel.

I noticed the spiritofgravel.com domain was free and nabbed it.

Why did I create this site?

Initially the idea was to make a meme about the spirit of gravel being at risk, due to the tire-width arms race or the cycling-team-like behaviour at Unbound.

But who the fuck am I to say what is and isn't in the spirit of gravel though? Who is anyone to say? Especially not you, eww. Either way, I changed my mind and wanted to create a site for positivity rather than division.

Maybe like a lot of other things, gravel is a spectrum? I think we all get to pick where, what and how casually we want to ride.

However harsh you like your gnar, let's go for a rip.

What do I plan on doing with this site?

I love bikes, and bike gear. I love finding and sharing new routes, though I'm still thinking of a good format to share these. I also love hyping up local business, meet-ups, charities and events. I might also be a huge sell-out, we'll see.
